MANAGING A HOTEL'S SOCIAL PRESENCE

Problem

The citizenM brand is growing (20+ hotels from Seattle to Taipei) and the identity and tone is evolving as each new hotel is opened.

How can you maintain a strong, coherent brand, when one of the primary channels for communicating is on social; a medium which is always-on, fast moving, and covering multiple markets globally?

Solution

We helped shape the citizenM brand since the beginning, creating a distinct tone of voice and visual world for them. This has included brand identity assets for in the hotels, as well as hotel launches and associated communication. We were tasked with creating a blueprint for the brand and a dialogue with its burgeoning audience. We worked with the citizenM social team to take control of all social channels, creating and filtering both the visual and written content for an engaging and responsive brand world.

During the year of social media management, KesselsKramer created 4000+ posts across various social platforms generating over 1.1M engagements and 150M impressions. This growth was achieved despite the turmoil of 2020 throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit the hospitality industry particularly hard.
