Problem

This winter, Arte will broadcast 30 new series on its platform. Some made recently, others nearly 40 years ago, but all never been available on Arte.tv before - until now. So, how do we announce 30 new series, spanning all topics and eras in one campaign?

Solution

Rather than focusing on the specifics of each series we focused on the moments when we’d all rather be sat watching TV. When you’re waiting for the washing machine to finish, watching peas defrost or walking the dog, simply zoning out and tuning in to your (new) favourite series is, almost always, more fun. Whatever your boring task, we have a fitting distraction based on how long your activity takes.

Creative

The campaign showcases eight carefully styled still life compositions, each of them symbolizing an activity you could swap for a series. Each still image comes to life through a stop motion animation showing the process.
