citizens of the world, meet the citizens of Copenhagen

Every city is a cocktail built by the people who live there. None more so than in Copenhagen, the Nordic charmer with a heart of gold and a head full of creative inspiration. To celebrate the opening of citizenM’s new home in the design capital of Europe – and repeat offender in the ‘happiest city’ category – we got to know the people who make it what it is. The local citizens of Copenhagen.

Initially, that meant an exhibition of 32 locals in all the windows of their new hotel on H. C. Andersens Blvd. 12, photographed by the amazing Marie Hald and illuminated by light designer Jakob Kvist.

We then followed up with a series of films, starring 5 wonderful locals and the story of the city from their own very special point of view.
